Embracing Change
Take charge and work through change!
Change brings a wide range of reactions and emotions for those experiencing the change. Often staff feel like change is “done to us” and when this occurs a range of behaviours appear. Understanding and embracing change and identifying where staff members are at in the change cycle is helpful in assisting them to work through their feelings about the change.
This workshop provides staff members with the tools and strategies to:
- Identify how change affects them and their ability to handle loss
- Identify which stage they are at in the change cycle and how they can manage their reactions to change
- Identify how the behaviours help and hinder their attitude to change
- Assist staff to take control rather than be a victim to the change
- Identify the resources and support they need as they lead through change
Content includes:
- Workplace change
- Impacts of change in general
- Handling loss
- The model of change
- recognizing the stages and behaviour associated with these stages
- recognizing which stage you are in
- Taking control
- Identifying support
- Becoming empowered to manage change
