Interview Strategies

We deliver this service via individual coaching sessions and/or workshops, both in person or via electronic media.

Promote yourself confidently and positively in the interview

Both internal and external interviews can be quite daunting. Often people feel very nervous, and as such feel that they haven’t promoted themselves as well as they could have. Interviews for external roles are usually the first meeting between a candidate and their prospective employer.  Each will form their initial impressions of the other. Therefore it is vital to go into the interview well prepared.  This means having high self-awareness, a very good knowledge of the organisation and being convinced of the good match between yourself and the organisation.

Our guidance will assist you to:

  • Understand the importance of preparation and research in demonstrating confidence in the interview
  • Understand the importance of first impressions and body language
  • Clearly articulate ability, willingness and “fit” to the role
  • Understand the best way to answer behavioural and other questions that can sometimes be problematic
  • Prepare key questions to ask in the interview that demonstrate interest and suitability for the position
  • Handle salary questions

An additional option is to practice some videoed interviews where you are able to assess your competence, your body language and your reactions. Experience has shown that we can be unaware of some of our idiosyncrasies.

Coaching:  Is on an hourly basis with the number of hours dependent on individual requirements

Workshop: 2½ hours
